Quarterdeck Volume 5, Number 2, Summer 1997
October 1990

In October the water column inside and outside the eddy
had three parts, much like the stories of a house. Coccolithophores were
not as abundant as they would be in March. Emiliania huxleyi was common
in all layers, but the other species were separated into levels with different
water temperatures, nutrient concentrations, and light levels.
